Dr. Shannon N. Myers
Dr. Myers has always loved children. At the age of 16, while on a mission trip in Mexico, she decided she would become a Pediatrician. She attended the University of Georgia and studied Pre-Med and Spanish. She spent her summers living in Central and South America with missionary Doctors, providing medical care to the underserved. After college, she attended The Medical College of Georgia and did her Residency in Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. After working in private-practice, Dr. Myers saw the need to help additional children and families. She and a team of individuals have joined together to create an innovative and convenient pediatric care experience for families... ABLE Pediatrics. It is their desire to serve children and empower parents in the health and well-being of their children.
Dr. Myers is married to her husband of ten years, an Augusta native, and they have 3 children. They enjoy family time, tennis, GEORGIA football, and traveling, and are thankful to be a part of First Presbyterian Church of Augusta.
Favorite part of living in Augusta: "So many things! Augusta has a close-knit community feel, beautiful outdoor destinations like the Savannah River, and wonderful people! I also love being near family and being a part of our church, First Presbyterian"
Something silly I did as a kid was ... "I loved fishing as a kid and thought I had to hold my tongue out 'just right' to be able to catch the big fish - thanks, Dad!"
Coolest superhero is: All MOMS everywhere!
Favorite place to travel: "Anywhere with family! Two nearby locations we love are Palms, SC and Highlands, NC"
